There are plenty of things to do and destinations for children and families in the Helsinki region. 

You can find attractions and activities for kids to play and have fun with their friends, parents or grandparents. 

There are both free and paid activities. Below, activities and destinations divided into price level and outdoor and indoor activities are listed separately.

WeeGee
Tapiola exhibition center WeeGee has a lot to offer, workshops, fairytale moments and self-made adventures. The center has things to see and explore for the whole family. The favorite destination "ufo" is open to the public from time to time. Read more

Extreme Esport ** Vibrant trampoline and activity park in the Tapiola sports park, right next to the Urheilupuisto metro station. Read more

Cirkus Magenta * Circus center for the whole family that has opened its cozy premises in Itis. Sirkus Magenta offers dozens of weekly lessons for children and adults to the circus world. Free practice shifts on weekdays from 9 am to 3 pm and on Friday evenings. In addition, from time to time, Saturday circus parties are organized, where children and parents can play tricks together and get to know the different forms of the circus. Children's Town in Helsinki city museum * Lots of things to do and see for the whole family near Senate Square. Linnanmäki ***  Perhaps the most legendary and well-known amusement park in the middle of Helsinki. Equipment for small children is free. Korkeasaari ** Animal island is one of the most popular family destinations in Helsinki, which can be easily reached by metro from Kalasatama. Korkeasaari is always an interesting excursion destination and there you can watch the animals play in different seasons. In Keilaniemi, on the Espoo side, there is a versatile water sports center with a water adventure course for those who can swim. 6-12 year olds need a guardian. Read more

In addition to playgrounds and climbing areas, Kansalaistori playgrounds also offer cradles for ball games. Next to it is Töölönlahti park with versatile play areas. Read more



Suomenlinna Fortress *
A traditional family excursion destination, where you can adventure in the island's many caves with the help of flashlights. During the holidays, there are adventure tours available for children, which you can ask about at the visitor center. Read more

The historic university garden near the center is open all year round. A good place to get to know the wonders of nature and more exotic plants in paradise in the middle of the city's asphalt jungle. Read more
